Care & Storage
- Real pearls are made primarily of calcium carbonate. Perspiration or cosmetics can damage your pearls. Be sure to wipe your pearls gently with a dry soft cloth after each use.
- Apply perfume and hair spray before wearing your pearls.
- Keep pearls separate from other jewelry to prevent surface damage.
- Store your pearls in cool dry spaces, away from extreme temperature changes, direct sunlight, ultraviolet rays such as fluorescent lights, extreme dryness, moisture, and insect repellents, to prevent discoloration and cracking of pearls.
- Necklaces should be rethreaded every 2 to 3 years.
- The necklace thread may stretch and become more brittle over time. Hold the clasp and gently hang the necklace loosely. If you see any irregularities in the threading, bring the necklace to us immediately.
- All necklaces purchased at Pearl FALCO will be rethreaded free of charge.
