Baroque pearls are among the most fascinating of organic gems in the jewelry market today. Whether Akoya or South Sea or other saltwater pearls, baroque pearls are pearls with irregular, odd, and non-round shapes of different sizes, dents and uneven surfaces.

Baroques come in a variety of colors – grey, white, yellow or even blue. The size and shape of a baroque pearl is caused by the mother oysters’ uneven deposition of nacre around a nucleus. What makes baroques so interesting are their singular imperfections. Baroques are uniquely special in how each baroque pearl is an entirely unique and flawless pearl. Each baroque is absolutely unique with no 2 baroque pearls ever being alike.

Baroque Pearl Jewelry Is Seeing a Resurgence
