Pearls are the only living gemstones, born in nature, crafted with human love and devotion. No two pearls are exactly alike. Each of our lives is like a pearl necklace with each pearl signifying different moments in our lives. Cherished moments shine as bright as pearls with different luster and color. We help to connect, pearl by pearl until it becomes a necklace like the woven memories in our lives.

Love is the connection. Love is closeness. Pearls connect you and your loved ones. Building memories … Growing and learning together with the loved ones in your lives. Pearls signify transcendent wishes of happiness and good health for your loved ones.

How about luxury pearl jewelry for your wedding, anniversaries and other occasions to show your loved ones how much they mean to you? In the world of gemstones, pearls symbolize good health and longevity though time.

Traveling to Ise Shima Japan

Ise Shima is located in Mie Prefecture Japan. Many of you may have already visited Kyoto Japan. Mie Prefecture is next to Kyoto, Nara, Shiga, Aichi and Gifu. From North to South, Mie is 180km and approximately 108km East to West. In terms of area, Mie Prefecture (5,774 sq km) itself is about 8 times the size of Singapore (724.2 sq km).

Not only is Mie Prefecture famous for Ise Shima – the storied Ninja tradition was born in the City of Iga. and Kumano Kodo in Mie Prefecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even more than this, Formula 1 racing fans may already be well aware, the Suzuka Circuit is also located in Mie Prefecture.

Some folks ask why Ise Jingu has not been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, even though Ise Jingu dates back over 2000 years? As Ise Jingu is the oldest and most sacred Shinto shrine in all of Japan, the Japanese people think of Ise Jingu as the ‘Soul of Japan.’ A world heritage site designation would be a secondary consideration at best. For this reason, the Japanese government has not applied for UNESCO World Heritage Status.

Planning Your Visit to Ise Shima

When planning your visit to Ise Shima, for a more traditional Japanese long weekend getaway, we recommend staying at least 2 nights at a resort hotel or ryokan near the ocean. Ise Shima is most easily accessible by car, so we recommend renting a car for your stay on the island. Many tourists rent a car at Kashikojima Station (Shima City) and return it to Ujiyamada Station (Ise City) or vice versa.

From the Yokoyama Observatory, you can experience the expansive view of the Ria coast at Ago Bay, the birthplace and home of cultured Akoya pearls. This is where sustainable cultured pearl farming techniques were first developed and then later shared with the world.

From Yokoyama Observatory, you can enjoy driving along Pearl Road for scenic vistas of the ocean and other local viewpoints. And how about enjoying a seafood lunch at a female diver’s house – Ama Hut Experience with Seafood BBQ.

Meoto Iwa are 2 sacred rocks symbolizing a married couple. The 2 rocks are tied solidly with shimenawa, a rice straw rope typically hung at shrine entrances. The rope is replaced every year on May 5, September 5 and in mid December when the tides are calm. If the weather is good, you might even catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji if you are lucky. Meoto Iwa is an extremely popular location for couples of all ages, praying for marital bliss.

Ise Jingu

No trip to Ise Shima would be complete without visiting Ise Jingu,  Japan’s most sacred Shinto Shrine, Ise Jingu 伊勢神宮, where the Sun Deity Amaterasu resides. You will be able to revitalize yourself with a leisurely walk through the beautiful forested grounds of Ise Jingu, and say prayers for you and your loved ones, wishing each other happiness and good health through the years.
