In a brand new article published in Startup.Info, Maiko shares her passion for contributing to society at large, with programs like Pearl FALCO’s “Pearl of Hope Project,” helping underserved children gain access to education through tuition assistance.
Maiko also shares how Pearl FALCO strives to be an innovator in the field. Maiko conceptualized an annual pearl jewellery competition, “The Grand Prix of Akoya Pearl Jewellery Ise Shima,” an annual jewellery competition to raise awareness of the importance and versatility of pearls. 2021 will mark the 4th Year of the Competition. Year after year, Maiko Makito continues to be truly humbled, receiving multiple entries from wonderfully talented young designers from around the world.
