Pearl FALCO invited Mr Chan Wai, a well-known Radio DJ Host from Hong Kong to Ise Shima. At the same time he was visiting Japan in January 2023. It’s an honour for us for him to feature Ise Shima, Pearl Farming and Akoya Pearls in his Hong Kong Radio Show. Below is part of his radio shows meant for his subscribers but specially recorded and shared with us today.
Mr Chan Wai commented, “Ise Shima is a wonderful place, and I was so moved by pearl farmers and Pearl FALCO staff, how much they love Akoya Pearls and how much effort pearl farmers have been making to take care of Akoya oysters for many years to produce one piece of Akoya pearl and I could learn a lot from Pearl FALCO team how to see each difference of pearls and define its value. I love that lustre of Akoya pearls. But of course, I love Oysters in Ise Shima too.”
During his stay in Ise Shima, we went to Ise Shrine and asked him if he might feel bored since he had visited many Shrines and Temples in Kyoto. But he said, ” I love the energy of Ise Shrine, which I can’t feel in others but from the whole nature of Ise Shrine and their culture and history.” He remembered to comment that he could enjoy the food in Ise Shima, too.
