With heartfelt appreciation from Pearl FALCO

As we conclude our two-week pop-up at Takashimaya Singapore, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who visited us during the SJ60 celebrations, marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan.

For Pearl FALCO, founded in Ise-Shima, Japan — the birthplace of cultured pearls — this occasion held special meaning.

We believe pearls can connect people across countries, cultures and generations. Behind every pearl lies a story of nature, human dedication and the knowledge passed down through generations.

It was our pleasure to share these stories with visitors in Singapore.

Discovering the True Value of Pearls — With Your Own Eyes

One of the highlights of our pop-up was our interactive Pearl Appreciation Sessions, hosted by Pearl FALCO Director Maiko Makito.

Rather than simply explaining what makes a pearl valuable, we invited visitors to discover the differences for themselves.

We presented two pearl necklaces of different qualities and asked our audience a simple question:

“Which necklace do you think has a higher value — and why?”

Through this interactive comparison, visitors were encouraged to look closely, observe the differences and share their thoughts.

We then explored how cultured pearls are created, the relationship between nature and human effort, and the qualities that influence their value.

At Pearl FALCO, we believe that appreciating pearls begins with understanding them.

Our mission is not simply to tell customers which pearl is the best. We hope to give them the knowledge and confidence to discover beauty and value with their own eyes.

Pearls in Everyday Life

Our sessions also featured a mini styling presentation, demonstrating how pearls can complement different outfits and occasions.

From everyday elegance to professional attire, pearls offer many ways to express personal style.

Our model, a former cabin crew member, also shared her experience of wearing pearl earrings as part of her airline uniform.

It was a lovely reminder that pearls can be both timeless and personal, becoming part of our individual stories.

Every Pearl Has a Story. So Does Every Person.

Throughout the pop-up, we were especially grateful for the conversations we shared with our visitors.

Some came to discover their first pearl jewellery. Others shared memories of pearls received as gifts, treasured over the years or passed down through their families.

These conversations reminded us that the value of a pearl cannot always be measured by its price or appearance.

A pearl may carry a memory, a relationship or a connection to someone special.

And behind each cultured pearl is another story — of the living oyster, the environment in which it grows and the people who patiently nurture it.

For us, sharing these stories is just as meaningful as presenting the finished jewellery.

From Ise-Shima to Singapore — Connecting People Through Pearls

Our participation in SJ60 was more than an opportunity to showcase Japanese pearl jewellery.

It was an opportunity to share the dedication of pearl farmers, the beauty of nature and the knowledge developed through generations of pearl cultivation.

As a Japanese pearl company with a home in Singapore, we hope to continue building connections between the two countries through education, appreciation and meaningful exchange.

We believe that when we understand the stories behind something beautiful, we begin to appreciate its value in a different way.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Journey

Our heartfelt thanks go to Takashimaya Singapore for the opportunity to participate in SJ60, to our team for their dedication throughout the event, and to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, attended our sessions or supported us.

Although our Takashimaya pop-up has ended, our journey of sharing pearl knowledge continues.

We warmly invite you to explore pearls with us through our Pearl Appreciation Workshops, where you can compare, observe and discover the beauty and value of pearls for yourself.

Because we believe that the more you know, the more confidently you can choose.

From Ise-Shima, Japan, to Singapore and beyond.
